Hiring Delay Complaint Against Ministry of Civil Aviation for 2011 Competition
Complaint Details
The complainant submits a grievance against the Ministry of Civil Aviation concerning a significant delay in the appointment of successful candidates from a job competition held by EgyptAir. The complainant states they passed competition number 59_2010, with results announced in 2011, for the position of Load Control Officer at Sohag Airport.
According to the complainant, they successfully completed all required tests and were ranked 35th on the list of approximately 47 successful candidates. Although they were officially notified of their success and informed that appointments would proceed based on rank, the complainant claims that only about four individuals have been hired since 2011. The complainant notes that this extremely slow hiring process seems specific to their governorate, while other regions have seen multiple competitions and appointments, stalling their career for years.
As a result of this prolonged delay, the complainant has suffered professional damage, including a significant loss of time and career opportunities. The complainant seeks a resolution to the problem through the completion of the hiring process, accountability for the party responsible for the delay, and an official apology.
