About Ministry of Civil Aviation
The Ministry of Civil Aviation is the government body responsible for regulating and overseeing all aspects of civil aviation in Egypt. Established in its current form in 2002, separating from the Ministry of Transport and Communications, its headquarters is located in Cairo. The ministry's primary duties include setting civil aviation regulations, ensuring airworthiness and flight standards are met, and managing safety protocols in compliance with international norms. It supervises key affiliated entities, including the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority (ECAA), the EgyptAir Holding Company, and the Egyptian Holding Company for Airports and Air Navigation, as well as the Egyptian Meteorological Authority.
